Liquid Pouches
My first idea for reusable containers would be to create a reusable liquid pouch. The pouch would be inspired by a capri-sun drink pouch and would feature a screw cap. The benefit here is that drink pouches fold flat and use less material than plastic cartons and glass jars.
Introduction
This blog was set up to broadcast some of my ideas to create standardized packages for liquid and solid things. There was a time when people bought Coca-Cola in bottles and there were actually bottling companies around to wash and sell back these bottles to the Coca-Cola company. Today we can only recycle bottles and other containers, and this usually results in "downcycling" or creating a product that is inferior to the virgin material product. What I would like to see happen is for the world to adopt and standardize packaging for various solid and liquid items that we regularly use and for businesses to be set up to reuse and redistribute these packages back to the companies. My plan is to have a simple template for each package design and suggestions for their scale. Some day I hope to walk into a supermarket and buy some packaged goods that I can re-use.
